Jailbreak!

I will shortly review Thanksgiving. Things went a lot better, but I think that was because I went out somewhere every night except Thursday (understandably). I also was able to use the excuse, "I need to go to my room to work on my applications" effectively to get away when things were just too awkward. And believe me they were awkward.

My problems are often with the step-family where we all have to strain terribly to carry on conversations. We simply have nothing in common, completely different priorities, and utterly disproportionate lives. Again, thank goodness for my various means of escaping. I need to make sure I have ways out from now on to avoid the boredom and awkwardness.
